Citrus

My reason to avoid citrus is twofold:
1) It makes the body fluids more acid and thereby increases the risk of cancer. Since I have had lymphoma three times, I try my best to eliminate as many factors as I can for a further development.
2) It increases the production of stomach acid. I also have problems with reflux already and don't want to worsen this troublesome condition.
So before I buy hitherto unknown food, I always check the ingredient list for citrus and citric acid (aka E330, E331, E332 or acidic regulators). That means most sodas, jams and jellos + things that contain jam, like fruit flavoured ice cream.
I do, however, eat clementines/tangerines and some sweet types of orange, while lemon, lime and grapefruit are on my no-no list.
